Ben WhiteBen is from Waco, Texas, and is completing his Master of Accountancy at BYU. He enjoys researching the intersection of technical accounting and law, including SEC enforcement actions and financial reporting regulation. After graduation, he plans to attend law school. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano and cello, photography, and trying new restaurants with his wife.
Sam JezikSam was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, and is passionate about biotechnology, the environment, and how accounting intersects with it all. In his free time Sam loves to play pickleball with his roommates or watch movies with his fiancé.
Ken GardnerKen is a technical accounting adviser at Connor Group where he serves clients in diverse industries across the United States. He helps to solve their most complex accounting and business issues. He advises companies on a variety of technical topics including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842 and SEC reporting matters. Prior to joining Connor Group, he was with Tesla in their Corporate Accounting group and PwC in their Los Angeles, California assurance practice focusing on financial services clients. Ken graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master's of Accountancy and enjoys traveling, wakeboarding, and eating dessert.
Michael PetersonMichael Peterson is originally from Austin, Texas, and is currently in his first year of the MISM. He has worked as a data analyst at Brevium, a patient healthcare software company. He is passionate about technology and business, with career interests in data analytics, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Outside of academics, Michael enjoys playing basketball, watching college sports, and building with Legos.
